The Somerville Police Department Criminal Investigation Division carries out all follow-up investigations, gets called out to investigate serious crime, i.e. aggravated assault, sexual assault, robbery, homicide, burglary etc., and works together with the Somerset County Prosecutors Office to investigate narcotics violations and organized crime. Lieutenant Joseph Clymore is the Executive Officer of the CID and it is made up of four detectives.
